The Sonus Faber Musica is a great sounding integrated amplifier that has an incredibly musical sound that is sure the mesmerise. Designed and crafted during Franco Serblin’s time at the helm of Sonus Faber, it’s the first integrated amplifier to be released a decade after the Quid integrated amplifier.
It surface mounted technolgy for a short signal path including a a symetrical PCB design. Lift it up and most of the weight is taken up by a huge torodial transformer that outputs 50watts of class AB power into 8 ohms.
Clad a gloss black faceplate, the Sonus Faber Musica does show off the level of craftsmanship the Italian manufacturer is known for. One of which is still kept in Sonus Faber’s listening room, as demonstrated by Livio Cucuzza.
Listening impressions show off attention to the subtlety in sound along with a sweet tonal presentation. Match with Sonus Faber speakers and it’s performance takes off. A must have for lovers of Jazz and vocals.
