The preowned Odeon Orfeo is in excellent condition and comes with in the most expensive poplar burl finish.
The German made speakers feature a birch plywood horn for the highs and midrange driver. The use of a horn is an Odeon speciality and mechanically increases amplifies with the tweeter and midrange without the use of more wattage.
The result is an effecient speaker with increased clarity, and the ability to look deep into recordings, while still being relaxed.
The speaker is also very effecient for a high-end bookshelf as the horn can be acoustically matched to a bass driver, giving it a punchy and controlled low end.
The bass driver itself is custom made and coated with cellulose and paired with a highly flexible, long-lasting rubber.
The electronics used in the crossover are certainly high end, and includes elements from Mundorf and Pertinax. The internals are made using incredibly pure OFC wring, that includes layers of shielding. Each component is chosen for lifespan and performance and are individually crafted by hand.
With a stunning attention to detail, build quality, longevity and design makes the Odeon Orfeo from Germany a very convincing bookshelf.
