PINK FLOYD DARK SIDE OF THE MOON SHOOTOUT

This album never loses mileage. The fantastic album launched with two singles “Money” and “Us and Them”. It boasted critical acclaim upon release and is hailed by critics as one of the greatest records of all time, and became one of the best selling albums in the world. In fact, it stayed on the Billboard Top LPs & Tape chart for more than 15 years.

Naturally, the different copies from different labels made their way to us and our regulars. We felt the need to pull together our albums to have a good old fashioned shoot out to see which album simply sounded better. It was time to start listening to cash registers pop, and those guitar riffs saunter.

After listening to 12 copies side by side after a period of time, it was time for a final side-by-side shootout.

A few notable finals made it all the way into the lunar Olympics.

These were all washed with a Kirmuss KA-RC-1 Ultrasonic Cleaner and our own cleaning agent. Every pressing sounded fantastic, which is a testament to the team that first recorded it. While testing these records, you may benefit from using the invert phase setting for some of these pressings.
